Initially this building was named Eastwood Community Church in 1919 and later the Church of the Redeemer. We fell in love with the architecture and structure of this complex. We feared the building would be torn down for economic efficiency as history shows, so we decided to develop the building despite economic hurdles and deed restrictions. Before plans began, we decommissioned the church and the organ and historic mural were donated to other active churches in Texas. This is a truly unique complex in one of our favorite neighborhoods in Houston. The 4-story building was honored with a Good Brick Award by Preservation Houston showcasing our vision to restore this historic building.
